A wide range of fieldtrips are included, allowing participants to see permaculture 'in action'. A diverse range of tutors with their different skills and focuses bring colour and variety to this PDC, enhancing the learning environment and creating a richer experience for participants.

CASTLEMAINE PDCs
The Castlemaine Community House (CCH) is offering a PDC once a week during term time on Fridays, with some fieldtrips and practical sessions on four weekend days (16 days in total). This format is useful for those local to Castlemaine, or others on the Bendigo-Melbourne train line, and the course runs during school hours with a break for school holidays, allowing parents of school-age children to attend with minimal disruption to family life. One day per week allows time for information to ‘sink in’ and for extra reading and research between the sessions.

CCH is also offering the non-residential intensive course. A two week intensive gives participants a chance to really immerse themselves in permaculture. This will be run during the school holidays so is particularly useful for teachers and students wanting to undertake permaculture training. Those outside the Castlemaine area would have to organise their own accommodation, and no meals are included.

Bookings for both these courses can be made on 5472 4842
.

BALLARAT ALL SEASONS PDC

Ballarat Permaculture Guild is offering the ‘All Seasons Permaculture Design Course’ with a full weekend once a month (10 weekends starting February). As it runs over most of a year, this format enables sessions to focus on seasonal changes in permaculture and allows for lots of research, reading and project work between the monthly sessions. More information can be found at www.ballaratpermacultureguild.org and bookings are now being taken on 5334 7797 or aspdcteam@gmail.com. Cost is $2150 full fee or $1650 concession (discount also available for more than one member of a household attending) and includes lunch and teas.
